Grant Guidelines
The J. R .Albert Foundation has the
following funding priorities:
-
University-related research
related to nutrition, and the effects on health of proper nutrition
and exercise.
-
Dissemination of results of
nutrition research to those it most benefits.
-
Programs educating at-risk
populations on nutritional practices.
-
Training of educators and other
mentors to aid in distribution of health and nutrition information.
We give high priority to programs
dealing with the epidemic of obesity, particularly childhood obesity, in
this country.
We do not fund programs outside the
United States, or those with religious or political affiliations. We
don't in general fund conferences, seminars, or think-tanks.
Most of our grants are between
$10,000 and $50,000, although larger requests will be considered.
Deadline for grant submissions is Dec. 31 of each calendar year. The
board will decide on the allocation of funding at its annual meeting in
May, and recipients will be notified in June.
